Where it all began..

For 16 years Chili-Fest has been a staple in Ohio’s first Capital, Chillicothe. The first 14 years, the ladies of the Chillicothe Social Society coordinated the event but knew it needed more man-power to grow. So in 2014 they handed the reigns over to the Chillicothe Cigar Band.

Chili-Fest on its own boasts amateur teams of 4 cooking their best 10 gallons of chili, all on-site, in the streets of Historic Downtown and competing against each other for a great cause!

Average attendance is between 700-1000 guests that enter the gates and this event brings our community together for some friendly, spirited competition, good local music and all for a good cause.

Proceeds to Rock for Tots, a charity that ensures children of our area have gifts at Christmas. We have proudly donated over $45,000 to this cause.

Chili-Fest 2021 is happening!

AND...we are back! Saturday, Sept 25th we will once again take over 2nd Street in historic downtown Chillicothe!

Excited for the opportunity to continue this great event with the things you always love about Chili-Fest but with a few fresh things this year too!

We will be inviting food trucks and vendors in addition to the Chili Teams samples and an 'after party' to continue things on the LIVE MUSIC stage into the evening after the Chili Cook-off concludes.

The Cigar Band is also partnering w/ the GPS100 Race that is coming to Chillicothe for the first time this year and will FINISH their 100 mile ride on 2nd Street at Chili-Fest!

Mark the Calendar for September 25th - its going to be an action packed day, all for great local causes!
