The Chillicothe Cigar Band

IMG_6551.PNG

The Cigar Band started from a small gathering of friends to share a stogie and enjoy their time together.

The first official meeting was in June 2009 and since then, that gathering of a few friends has changed a bit. It has turned into a 501c3 Not-for-Profit organization that is over 40 members strong.

In addition to The First Capital Chili & Beer Fest, they host other events annually for local charities. Swine & Stogies occurs in May benefiting the Mid-Ohio Food Bank which services Ross County and Bike Nite for Mike, in July, benefits the Adena Cancer Center in honor of Mike Porter, a member of the Cigar Band that lost his battle with cancer.

While the group continues to grow, the basics are still the same. Monthly meetings to smoke a good cigar, expanding knowledge of the cigar industry and enjoy some good company!
